Description

Parametric software has the capacity to use algorithms to analyze spatial relationships and characteristics. Using the software, urban planners can evaluate a potential development, such as this site near Bangalore, India, can be evaluated based on planning strategies from successful cities around the world. While success can be rated based on different metrics, we can begin to understand the land in relation to program and connectivity.

To create an urban strategy for Devanahalli, India, we overlaid the urban patterns of successful cities such as Vancouver, BC and Barcelona, Spain to see how those patterns would perform within our site’s context.
